Shanelle Dupree

Shanelle Dupree practiced law for nearly a decade representing children and adults in child welfare, high conflict family law, and juvenile justice cases. She successfully created and taught a series of legal and social child welfare informational classes for five years. She currently manages resources & staffing for 450 employees as the KC Regional Director at the Kansas Department for Children and Families.  As a strategic connector, Shanelle has connected the social and legal systems by hosting social service themed continuing legal education credit opportunities for the legal community and provided continuing education units for the social work community. She has ushered in statewide courageous conversations & actions about racial equity in child welfare.
